On Monday 15th February 2010 the ground works began at Piddinghoe Sports Park, Piddinghoe Avenue, Peacehaven for the brand new Skate park. The Skate park which has been designed by Local young people has a fantastic new site adjacent to the existing Children’s Play ground.
The Park has cost nearly £100,000 pounds and has been funded by various groups involved with the Peacehaven area. Such as Lewes District council, Peacehaven Town Council, East Sussex County Council , Regen, Local Action Team, and many more. The combined effort of other agencies including the Joff Local Youth Club, Sussex Police, Neighbourhood Watch, Peacehaven Community School, Wave Leisure, Residents associations have all worked together to ensure the long over due need for a skate park has come to fruition.
Peacehaven Town Council have the final designs for all to see on their website and can be accessed from the hyperlink below. IT is anticipated that the Official opening will be on April 1st 2010. This will be confirmed nearer to the date.

Peacehaven Neighbourhood Team are glad to Welcome a new officer to the Police station. PC Dave TOURELL has joined and will be permanently based at Peacehaven. This now means there are two constables to tackle the priorities set from the Panel meetings and get involved with the Community events. Dave TOURELL has been in Sussex Police for five years and has always worked within the Lewes District. He is very keen and willing to get involved, and will be attending the local meetings over the next few months. Dave will soon have his own blog site within the Sussex Police Website with a photo available.
